Radical Muslim leader Louis Farrakhan, is the acting head and Minister of the Nation of Islam. He once called Hitler “a very good man,” whites-“blue eyed devils” and Jews -“bloodsuckers” that controlled the slave trade.
On Sunday at the organization’s Savior Day Celebration, he proclaimed presidential candidate Barack Obama to be the “hope of the entire world.”
“This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better,” he said. “This young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and yellow. If you look at Barack Obama’s audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed.”
Farrakhan also compared Obama to the religion’s founder who also had a white mother and black father.
“A black man with a white mother became a savior to us,” he told the crowd of followers. “A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall.”
The statements and beliefs of the organization stand in direct defiance of the Holy Bible and Christian teachings that all are equal in the eyes of God, that Jews are God’s chosen people and that the Savior is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Nonetheless, Obama’s church, the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago which talks of its commitment to the “black community” instead of God’s people as a whole, once honored Farrakhan in its publication with an award saying that he “truly epitomized greatness.”
