Many of the world’s major religions have been acculturated into many different regions of the world. For example, Islam has become the dominant religion in the Middle East, North Africa, and other parts of Asia. Hinduism and Buddhism have become the dominant religion in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Judaism has become the dominant religion of Israel. Of course, as most Americans would agree, Christianity has become the dominant religion of the United States. It is the religion brought to America by the early explorers and the first colonists. In fact, America’s founding fathers and statesmen, in their actions and deeds, declared Christianity to be the official religion of the newly established nation. However, many non-Christian citizens in America’s modern pluralistic society are attempting to rid the United States of its Christian heritage and Christian faith. This can be seen in their actions and deeds, too. But, sadly, many of America’s governmental leaders are the culprits responsible for permitting the anti-Christ spirit to invade and infiltrate every sector of the American society.
The old adage, “Actions speak louder than words,” is definitely active in the anti-Christ movement in the United States. In the current political agenda in America, 21st century politicians are turning their backs away from the Christian religious beliefs that have become the foundational tenets of the nation that they represent. They are selling out in the name of political correctness and pluralism. It is not politically correct now to permit Christian values and icons to be part of the daily routine in many areas of the United States’ government. However, at the same time, these same governmental leaders support, through their actions and deeds, other non-Christian religions that deny the deity of Jesus Christ, God’s Only Begotten Son. Therefore, the spirit of the anti-Christ that is prophesized in the Holy Bible is alive and active in the United States.
There are numerous examples that prove that the name of God and Jesus Christ is being attacked regularly by America’s politically correct government. Many American leaders support the removal of the name of God from the currency of the United States. They support the removal of the name of God from the walls of Federal buildings (the Ten Commandments and encrypted scriptures) and from U.S. government documents, such as flag certificates. They also have tried to prevent the mention of God in the funeral ceremonies for deceased veterans buried in Veteran Administration cemeteries. Of course, everyone should remember the “One Nation Under God” issue related to pledging allegiance to the United States’ flag. Therefore, it is not sensible for America’s modern day politicians to replace the God of the Founding Fathers with the new god they support, which is basically any god but the true and living God. The results will be disastrous!
But, the United States government is really going too far when it permits elected politicians to take the oath of office on the holy book of their choice. How can God (Jehovah) bless a nation when its leaders confirm their allegiance to the United States on a holy book that refutes the teachings of Jesus Christ? Yes, America has become a pluralistic nation. Yes, America has many religious beliefs. Yes, America has freedom of religion. Yes, America does not have an official state religion. However, since 80 to 90 percent of Americans claim to be Christian, or at least believe in America’s Judeo-Christian heritage, it makes perfect sense that all oaths to elected or appointed governmental offices be taken on the Judeo-Christian Bible.
Finally, from the foundational days of the United States, it has been accepted that all politicians would place their right hand on the Holy Bible to take their oath of office. But, since World War II, more and more immigrants, who do not believe in Christianity, have come to live in America, a majority Christian nation. Therefore, as a result of the United States rapidly becoming a politically correct and global nation, America’s cultural and religious belief systems are drastically changing, too. Unfortunately, America’s politicians are becoming more concerned with world trade and globalization than maintaining a national adherence to the Christ-centered tenets purported by the statesmen who wrote the United States Constitution. Of course, as stated earlier, one such tenet would be taking the oath of office by placing one’s right hand on the same Holy Bible used by America’s founding fathers. However, those who would do otherwise would be promoting an anti-Christ spirit in America, a nation founded on Christian principles. God, please bless America again!
